Weekly Update 10/13/2023

October 13th, 2023 by Mike Perez

Pinkerton Family and Friends,

This week the girls volleyball team started a new tradition. At their game on Wednesday night, each of the 5 seniors recognized a teacher who has made an impact on them in their time at Pinkerton. It was a special night, and it was great to see our students thanking their teachers.

Believe it or not, the planning for the Class of 2024 graduation started this week! There are so many details that go into this special event. Seniors, check your email for information on ordering your cap and gown, and be sure to save the date for Friday, June 7th!

As fall continues to fly by, I’m looking forward to seeing the Pinkerton Players’ fall play Antigone in Munich. The stage crew has been hard at work preparing sets as the actors perfect their performances. I know our students will put on an amazing show. The shows are Friday and Saturday, October 27th and 28th at 7 pm and Sunday, October 29th at 2 pm. Get your tickets here.

Progress reports for the first semester will come out on Wednesday, November 8th. Now is a good time to be checking on grades and attendance in classes. Don’t wait until the last minute to get help!

Weekly Highlights:

Start Time Surveys - Last week you received an email from Dr. Powers with a survey about adjusting our school start time. Please complete the survey, and, if you’re willing, opt your student(s) in to participate as well. Students cannot complete the survey unless a parent/guardian has granted permission. Thank you in advance for participating!

Medical Annual History Form - Guardians, if you want your student to be able to have access to Tylenol, Ibuprofen, cough drops, or antacids during the school day, the annual Health History form must be completed each year! Access it here or in the Parent section of the website.
