Weekly Update 3/28/25
March 28th, 2025
Good afternoon,
This week, I’m going to focus on highlighting the important information about next week’s testing day. I encourage all students who are taking tests to try to relax and do their best work.
As a reminder, freshman, sophomore, and junior students will be taking the SAT/PSATs on Wednesday, April 2nd. These tests are administered digitally and must be taken on a school-issued Chromebook. Seniors who are not testing do not have school on Wednesday, April 2nd.
Do not forget to bring your school-issued Chromebook to school FULLY CHARGED on testing day. Loaner devices may not be available on that day; you will want to make sure your assigned device is working. If you are having trouble with your school-issued device (or can’t find it), head to the 1-to-1 center (room N-6211 in the Academy Building) any time/day before April 2nd to get it resolved.
If you have technology-related questions, please contact [email protected]
If you have any questions about the SAT/PSAT, contact [email protected]
After testing is completed, students will participate in the following presentations.
Freshmen: Freshmen will attend Early College & Career Planning for Students presented by Chris Cox from Granite Edvance. It is never too early to start thinking about life after high school. In this presentation, students will discover how to explore their interests and skills. They’ll learn how to make the most out of high school, and get an introduction to the college application process. Mr. Cox will also share how Granite Edvance can support students and families at every step along the way.
Sophomores: Several former PA students will share their diverse post-secondary experiences, from college and vocational training to military service and entering the workforce. They’ll discuss how Pinkerton Academy provided them with the skills, resources, and guidance necessary to navigate their chosen paths and succeed in their next steps
Buses: Buses are scheduled to depart campus between 11:45 am and 12:00 pm. Bus drivers will wait for the OK from Pinkerton personnel before departing. The drop-off time in the morning is the same as a regular school day.
