Weekly Update 9/15/2023
September 15th, 2023
Hello Pinkerton Community,
This morning we held a tabletop exercise reviewing safety procedures and how to report concerning behavior. Following the exercise, several students reported a concerning post they had seen on social media. We found that the post was unconnected to Pinkerton, but we are proud of our students and grateful to our families for sharing the information. School safety is the highest priority for all of us, and it is a shared responsibility. We encourage everyone to continue to report concerns in the future – if you see something, say something.
It's been a busy week, wrapping up with Ben Franklin visiting today to celebrate Constitution Day. I am excited to be a part of my first Spirit Week and Mack Plaque this upcoming week here at Pinkerton. Mack Plaque Week is not just an event; it is a tradition that unites our school community, past and present, in a spirit of togetherness, pride, and camaraderie.
Mack Plaque is a time to celebrate our school's history and rivalry with Londonderry, honor our alumni, and create lasting memories. It's a week filled with spirited activities, sporting events, and, of course, the unforgettable Homecoming Dance. It's an opportunity for students, parents, teachers, and alumni to come together and show their unwavering support for our school and our community.
Here's a sneak peek of what to expect during Mack Plaque Week:
Spirit Week: Get ready to showcase your school spirit by participating in themed dress-up days throughout the week.
- Monday 9/18 - Neon Day
- Tuesday 9/19 - Soccer Mom vs Grill Dad
- Wednesday 9/20 - Barbie and Ken's Day
- Thursday 9/21 - Surfers vs Bikers
- Friday 9/22 - Red and White Day
Sports Events: Cheer on our teams as they compete in various sports competitions. Let's show our athletes that we are their biggest fans!

Football Game: We will also be participating in NH Tackles Hunger again this year. This event sponsored by WMUR and the NH Food Bank helps feed those in need in our own communities. The food pantry has requested a financial donation, so we will have a volunteer collecting at the entrance table at the football game. Thanks for your support and generosity!
Just a reminder to students and parents that we are not allowing backpacks into the football game.
Alumni Reunion: We invite all our esteemed alumni to join us for a special reunion event. Reconnect with old friends and reminisce about your time at Pinkerton. Friday, September 22, 2023 from 3:00 - 5:30 pm at Pinkerton Academy on the Grass Field near the Football field.
Follow the PA Alumni Association on Instagram: @pinkerton1814.
Homecoming Dance: Mack Plaque week will come to an end with the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 23, 2023. It's a night of fun, music, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Any student driving to the dance should park in the Senior Lot that night.
I encourage all students, parents, and staff to get involved and make Mack Plaque Week 2023 a great success. Let's come together as one big Pinkerton Family and bring home the plaque!!!! Let's celebrate our school, our traditions, and our community during Mack Plaque 2023. Go Astros!!!! #TogetherWeArePinkerton
Weekly Highlights:
Senior Corn Roast Rescheduled - The Senior Corn Roast has been rescheduled from this Saturday to Saturday 9/30 at 3:30 pm.
Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up - Please review the Drop-off and Pick-up map: Student Drop Off and Pick Up. In particular, families entering by the Academy Building for drop off and pick up must travel through the indicate route and exit the opposite side of campus. This is for the safety of all our students, so please follow the directions of staff on campus.
Planner Acknowledgment/Consent to Treat - Please review the email I sent last Wednesday, September 6th. Separate emails were sent to students and parents/guardians. Students only need to complete the Google form sent to them acknowledging the handbook. One parent/guardian must complete the acknowledgment/consent to treat form, and it will cover all students in their legal care. The Student Handbook and the links to the forms can be found on our website.
Pinkerton Academy Club Fair - The 2023 Club Fair will be on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, in the Shepard Auditorium during R3. Students will be allowed to go during their lunch time for about 15 minutes at a time.
English Honor Society - Applications are being accepted for the English Honor Society. Check out the website, or email Mr. Lemire at [email protected] for more information.
