Miller was an absolute unsung hero in our routine at states. Her first stunt sequence wasn’t executed correctly and instead of panicking, she fell back to the level of her training and controlled her body enough to hold the counts until the stunt was to come down with the others.  The untrained eye could not see it, but us coaches could. We all stopped breathing!  Had she buckled her standing leg it could have been considered a fall by the officials. Because of her masterful cheerleading, she held the stunt and the officials didn’t even notice. The poise she demonstrated in that moment, is what we train and hope they never have to utilize.
