  • Class Correspondent: Love connecting with your classmates? Class correspondents help gather class news and information from members of their class to include in the Class Notes section of the Alumnus magazine.

  • Pinkerton Archives and History Volunteer: Opportunities exist to work either remotely or on site on various projects under the guidance of the Academy’s new school historian. In-person projects on campus include assisting in the research and mounting of historical exhibits; processing and cataloging the backlog of historical items, photographs, and documents and housing them in archival-quality containers; and eventually digitizing historic publications, photographs, and documents. Remote tasks include transcribing original documents and performing online research to support the work of the Historian.

    Estimated time commitment: As much time as desired, at least 1 hour a week, all year round.

  • Pinkerton Fund Parent Committee: The Pinkerton Fund Parent Committee is a group of current parent volunteers who reach out to other parents to encourage Pinkerton Fund gifts of any size. This is a great way to connect with other Pinkerton families while also supporting the Pinkerton Fund. As a Parent Committee member you will connect with a small group of families by email or phone to encourage their participation of any amount in the Pinkerton Fund on Day of Giving and in the spring. 
     
    Estimated time commitment: 2-3 hours in both the fall and spring.

  • Regional Alumni Volunteer: Help offer insight as to where and when to have a local event in your region. Regional Volunteers will add their name to event invitations as the host committee, and assist the Alumni Office in the planning process.
     
    Pinkerton currently hosts regional events in New York City, Boston, Portland, and Florida, and is hoping to expand to other regions in the future. 
     
    Estimated time commitment: Less than 1 hour / month; attend annual regional event
