Price of complete breakfasts - 1 combo priced meal per student

A complete breakfast using your I.D. card/number. Examples:

Cereal or cereal bar with milk, juice, small yogurt/or cheese-stick  and/or fruit

Packaged pastry, muffin, bagel or French toast; with milk, juice and/or fruit

Egg sand., bagel w/cream cheese, or French toast w/meat; with milk, juice and/or fruit

A combo lunch using your I.D. card/pass MUST include an entrée and fruit/juice and/or vegetable:

  • Start with an entree or sandwich and a fruit/juice and/or vegetable $2.75 with ID card

  • Add a milk and dessert (when offered) at no extra charge

  • When dessert is offered it is a “free” item when a “combo” complete meal is purchased

The lunch price is offered to those students who use their I.D. cards or one-day I.D. passes at the registers. Lunch prices are $2.75 for the combo/complete lunch. Only 1 “combo” meal can be purchased each day, other items will be charged at a la carte pricing. The student must take the entrée and at least one vegetable, fruit or juice for it to be considered a “combo” meal (milk and dessert does not count toward the new meal regulation).

Student accounts are only active in their assigned café.

Cash at the register: Students choosing this option will be charged “combo pricing” if they present their student I.D. card or I.D. pass to the cashiers, otherwise a la carte pricing will be charged.

Pinkerton Academy offers all eligible students free or reduced lunches. Students who were approved for subsidized lunches at Pinkerton Academy last year are eligible until October 11, 2016 If a new application is not received by this date, students will revert to “paid’ status. Freshmen who were enrolled in Pinkerton’s sending towns school system will have their eligibility continued also until this date. Students who are eligible for free or reduced lunch must use their I.D. card at the register and purchase a complete/combo meal. (see above). If a card is lost or stolen please contact the Food Service Manager for arrangements to be made for a replacement card. Students who participate are prohibited from giving, lending, exchanging or selling their meal to other students; violations will result in a minimum 5-day detention. Applications can be turned into the Main Office, directly to the Food Service Office, or mailed. Parents are notified via mail of the decision as soon as possible.

Pinkerton Academy Food Service is not part of the sending towns or Derry elementary schools, for faster processing a separate application is needed for Pinkerton Academy students only. If an application is sent to a another school please call or e-mail the Food Service Director at Pinkerton to arrange a copy to be made. Check acceptance/denial letter for all students.

Reimbursement for long distance phone charges, from your home (used for questions about free/reduced application) is available for those who qualify, please call the Food Service Director for more information.

Forgotten ID Cards

Every student has a lunch account and needs their I.D card to access their account. Our computer program is designed to scan these I.D. cards to provide accurate records for the NSLP and to maximize efficiency and speed in serving your child. We do understand that, occasionally one hurries out the door, and leaves the I.D. card at home. For those times, we have "one day" passes that can be picked up at your student’s administrator’s office, before getting in line, and then used as a regular I.D. card.

Replacing Lost ID Cards

The replacement fee for lost or damaged I.D. cards is $5.00. Replacement cards are available everyday from 6:30 A.M. to 7:10 A.M. in the Registrar's Office. The Registrar's Office is located in the Low Building, second floor, across the hall from the Guidance Offices. Students who cannot make the above times should see the Food Service Director or Kitchen Manager for an alternative process. Students are expected to keep their I.D. card in good repair.

Lost or stolen I.D. cards should be reported to the Food Service office as soon as possible.

Special Diets

Students on special diets due to food allergies or illness should speak to the Food Service Director when special accommodations are necessary to meet the dietary needs for lunch or breakfast. Documentation is required and must be on file in the Health Office.

Conduct

Students are expected to discard all their rubbish in the proper barrels, keep their respective tables clean, return all trays properly and make a general effort to keep the cafeteria clean and presentable for others. It is essential that all students conduct themselves in an orderly manner while in the café. Any actions that pose a potential disruption, or loss/damage to school property, or stealing, will result in a minimum 3-day detention.

End of Year:

NO checks will be accepted after Memorial Day for senior accounts, Online prepay and cash only. Remove automatic deposits from your student’s lunch money site before refunds begin.

Seniors who have a balance at the beginning of final exams in June are refunded money: Office hours will be posted for refunds in cash directly to the student for balances under $20.00. Balances over $5.00 are either mailed home or transferred to a sibling student’s account. A senior who owes money will be sent to administration for collection before they are cleared for Graduation.

All underclassmen balances from the previous Pinkerton Academy year are carried over to the next school year.
