Whether you are an incoming freshman or a transfer student new to the area, deciding about or trying to become familar with your next school, it is recommended that you experience it firsthand, even if only for a short visit. One of the best ways to get to know Pinkerton Academy's extensive curriculum, campus, activities and departments is to take a campus tour. We offer both private and group tours on a first-come, first-serve basis.
On your tour, you will explore the campus buildings, spaces and fields across the Pinkerton Academy campus while also getting the chance to ask questions, meet teachers, and see how our students learn. Do you have a specific interest? We can tailor our tour and the people you can be introduced to with those interests in mind.
When planning, please understand that we can accommodate a maximum of two families per tour. We offer tours each Wednesday at 8:30 am and 3:00 pm. Please call or email to reserve your spot.
We look forward to meeting you!
Welcome to Pinkerton!
At Pinkerton, an independent academy serving the south, central area of New Hampshire, there are two basic application procedures to choose from.
If you reside in a Pinkerton sending town...
Pinkerton's five sending towns (Auburn, Chester, Derry, Hampstead and Hooksett; Candia will become the sixth in the fall of 2018) contract with Pinkerton to be their high school of record for their residents. Students who reside in our five sending those towns will automatically be admitted into Pinkerton, except under unusual circumstances. Families who live in Pinkerton's sending towns are advised to contact the SAU office for application details and procedures. Transportation is provided through the SAU and not through Pinkerton. For more information, please contact the Pinkerton Registrar, Nancy Cofrin, at NCofrin@PinkertonAcademy.org or by phone at 603-437-5200 x1177.
If you do NOT reside in a Pinkerton sending town...
Students who reside outside these contracting towns are encouraged to apply but will be expected to pay tuition privately. The student body at Pinkerton is currently represented by students from over 20 towns in New Hampshire, including the five sending towns. For questions regarding the admissions process, contact Linda Butler in the Headmaster's Office. Ms. Butler can be reached by phone (603.437.5200, Ext. 3101) or by email (LButler@PinkertonAcademy.org). We encourage new and transfer students to visit the campus or schedule a guided tour to visit it during the school day.
Pinkerton Academy admits qualified students of any race, color, disability, religious affiliation, national and ethnic origin, and sexual orientation to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at our school. We do not discriminate in violation of any law or statute in the administration or our educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship, athletics or other school-administered programs.
Pinkerton Academy's Contracted Sending Towns

Pinkerton serves as the high school of record, completing the K-12 educational path for the students from these sending towns. Currently, students from Auburn, Chester, Derry, Hampstead and Hooksett attend Pinkerton as their high school of record; Candia has contracted for its students to begin entering in the fall of 2018.
